1. Cajun Field

Cajun Field is home to the Ragin’ Cajuns college football team. This bowl-style stadium can seat over 40,000 fans. It’s the ideal spot for those who love to cheer on the home team.

The stadium was built in 1971 and is steeped in tradition. In 2005, it even hosted the New Orleans Bowl You can find Cajun Field at 201 Reinhardt Drive, close to the National Wetlands Center.

2. Ragin’ Cajuns Soccer/Track Facility

Ragin’ Cajuns Soccer/Track Facility isn’t the biggest sporting venue in Lafayette. But it offers a great variety of events to enjoy throughout the year. From track meets like the Louisianan classic to college soccer, there’s always something going on. You can also enjoy watching games for the Louisiana Krewe, a semi-pro soccer team representing the city.

The stadium itself has 5,000 seats. It is surrounded by pine trees on two sides, giving it a pleasant and peaceful vibe even when games are in full swing. A car like the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq can get you there in style.

3. Comeaux Stadium

If high school sports are your thing, check out a game at Comeaux Stadium. This 4,400-capacity venue hosts football, track, and soccer events for the Comeaux Spartans. That means there’s always something to enjoy throughout the year!

This venue’s street address is 100 West Bluebird Drive. The atmosphere at high school games is said to be electric, so get there early and enjoy the buzz of the crowd.  

4. M. L. Tigue Moore Field at Russo Park

If you’re a fan of baseball, M. L. Tigue Moore Field at Russo Park is the ideal spot for you. It is home to the Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team. The seating capacity of the stadium is just over 6,000, but more than two million spectators have enjoyed watching games here.

The stadium is easy to find. It’s located at 201 Reinhardt Drive, right next to Cajun Field and the Ragin’ Cajuns Soccer/Track Facility.

5. Cajundome

Another great venue on the University of Louisiana campus is the Cajundome. The home of the Ragin’ Cajun’s basketball teams. This venue has an adjustable seating capacity depending on the event.

This is a great spot to visit for college games when the atmosphere is electric. The Cajundome can be found on Cajundome Boulevard. Concerts and other events also take place here.
