Regular maintenance

Changing your oil on a regular schedule keeps your Cadillac’s engine parts lubricated and prevents friction between rubbing parts. Cadillac recommends oil changes every 7,500 miles for many of its models. For best results, If you live in an area with hot summer months, make sure you get an oil change when the weather turns cooler. Intense summer heat can leave your Cadillac’s oil sticky, reducing its effectiveness.

Regularly rotating your tires ensures proper alignment and balance. Cadillac recommends tire rotation every 7,500 miles, similar to an oil change. Less frequent maintenance items include coolant and transmission fluid flushes, air filter replacement, and belt inspections.

Cadillac offers two prepaid maintenance plans that will help maintain your vehicle. Maintenance plans provide anywhere from two to 15 years of covered maintenance and are transferrable if you sell your car. These plans cover oil changes, tire rotations, air filters, transmission fluid changes, transfer fluid changes, and spark plugs. Under the maintenance plan, services are provided by Certified Service expert technicians. The myCadillac mobile app provides vehicle manuals and warranty information and enables you to schedule service appointments with your local Cadillac dealer.

Exterior detailing

Maintaining your Cadillac’s exterior will keep it looking as good as the day you bought it. A clean, shiny car not only looks good but also protects your investment for years to come. Wash your Cadillac regularly to remove dirt and road grime. Follow-up car washes with a coat of wax. Regular waxing helps preserve your Cadillac’s clear coat, protecting the paint from road salt, sun bleaching, bird droppings, and other corrosive elements.

In addition to regular washes and waxes, have your Cadillac detailed once a year. An exterior detail will clear up stubborn spots and take care of minor scuffs and scratches.

Cadillac Appearance Guard is available for new and used Cadillacs. Appearance Guard covers paintless dent repairs, windshield repair, interior fabric repair, and key fob replacement.

Interior detailing

We spend a lot of time in our cars. A dirty interior is unpleasant, and over time, built-up dirt can damage your Cadillac’s upholstery. Maintaining your interior is easy with a few steps:

  • Regularly vacuum your Cadillac to remove dust and dirt.
  • Wash your floor mats. If you live in an area with snowy winters, switch out to winter mats that trap snow, salt, and dirt to protect your Cadillac’s carpet.
  • Vacuum and wipe down your seats. If you have leather upholstery, use leather cleaner and conditioner to prevent it from becoming faded or cracked.
  • Clean your hard surfaces, such as the armrests, steering wheel, and dash.

Cadillac offers a wide range of luxury vehicles that are known for their innovative features and stylish good looks. Using these steps will keep your Cadillac looking and running like new for years to come. If you need maintenance or have any questions about your maintenance plans, contact Service Cadillac.
