Super Cruise

First offered on select Cadillac models in 2023, Super Cruise is one of the most impressive features of the new Cadillac CT4. Super Cruise is more than just cruise control. Instead, it’s hands-free driving assistance that can be used on compatible roads.

While Super Cruise shouldn’t be used without a driver’s full attention on the road, it offers the convenience of hands-free driving, even while towing a trailer. The Automatic Lane Change feature even allows you to change lanes while driving hands-free. The vehicle’s advanced technology can determine when a lane change is a smart choice, and initiate the move while using the appropriate signals.

Cadillac Smart System

The 2024 CT4 comes equipped with Cadillac’s Smart System, a suite of standard safety features. Like Super Cruise, they can’t replace an attentive, safe driver, but they can help make safe driving easier.

One feature of the Smart System is Front Pedestrian Braking. This feature can help drivers reduce the risk of a front-end collision by alerting them to pedestrians in front of them. It can even automatically activate a hard emergency brake, or enhance your own braking to avoid a collision. This feature only functions between the speeds of 5 MPH and 50 MPH and has limited performance in low visibility and at night. But this feature is like having an extra set of eyes watching the road for you while you drive.

Teen Driver Monitoring

This next feature is also a part of the Safety Suite and is perhaps one of the most unique safety features of the CT4. Teen Driver Monitoring can be activated with the use of a teen driver-designated key fob. When the key fob is used to start the car, certain safety features are activated.

One interesting feature is that the radio will remain muted until the driver and front seat passenger both have their seat belts fastened. This ensures your teen can’t get distracted by their music before they are safely buckled in. It also provides feedback on the teen driver’s performance behind the wheel.
