From Your Cadillac Dealer: A Closer Look at the 2024 Cadillac Escalade ESV
Trim Levels
The Escalade ESV is available in five trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sport Platinum. True to Cadillac’s well-deserved reputation for luxury and comfort, the standard fittings on the base trim match or eclipse the highest trim features of many other automobiles. The Luxury trim includes features like heated driver and front passenger seats, a 16.9″ OLED full-color information display with navigation, and a 19-speaker audio system.
Engine, Transmission, and Drivetrain
The standard engine on all trim levels is a 6.2L V8 gasoline engine that delivers 420HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine can deactivate half of its cylinders for added fuel economy. You also have the option to fit a 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine that pushes out 277HP and 460 lb-ft of torque.
A 10-speed automatic transmission is standard on the Escalade ESV, and you can choose between RWD or 4WD drivetrains.
Fuel Economy
The Escalade ESV is big. At 227″ long, 62.1″ wide, and standing 76.5″ high, you’d expect a vehicle of this size to be a gas-guzzler. But this is a Cadillac. It’s the product of advanced design processes that give you performance and comfort without a major sacrifice in fuel economy. The 6.2L V8 RWD is rated by the EPA at 14MPG in the city and 19MPG on the highway, while the 4WD option is only 1MPG lower on the highway.
If you choose the 3.0L turbo diesel engine, the RWD version provides 21MPG in the city and 27MPG on the highway. With the 4WD option, fuel efficiency is 20MPG in the city and 26MPG on the highway.
Interior Comfort and Cargo
As a full-sized SUV, the Escalade ESV features three rows with seating for seven people. Legroom in the third row is often at a premium in many SUVs, so the ESV features an independent rear suspension to provide extra space, so everyone can travel in comfort.
Cargo capacity is a vast 142.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
These are only some of the many highlights of the Escalade ESV. If you’re looking for an SUV that epitomizes style and luxury and is tricked out with technology that delivers a smooth, safe, and comfortable ride, this is the SUV for you.
