1. Rip Van Winkle Gardens

These gardens are located at the Joseph Jefferson House, which was built in 1870 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The house and gardens are located on the edge of Lake Peigneur and nestled within huge magnolia trees, creating an idyllic backdrop for wedding photos. It’s located only 25 minutes from the airport and has overnight accommodation options, making it convenient for out-of-town guests.  

2. Warehouse 535

If you are looking for historical beauty but with a more downtown city feel, Warehouse 535 is a great choice. This venue is full of rustic old-world charm and provides both indoor and outdoor spaces for the ceremony and reception.

Make use of the Rhum Room, a fully stocked bar on-site that allows couples to create their own signature cocktails for the occasion. Because this venue is located in downtown Lafayette, it is easy for your guests to drink responsibly and take a cab (or walk) back to their hotel after the festivities.

3. Le Pavillon at Parc Lafayette

Complete with a grand ballroom and a huge Parisian-style Colonnade, Le Pavillon is an absolutely breathtaking backdrop for a wedding, capable of hosting up to 600 guests. There are also two additional rooms that create a more intimate feel for those wanting a wedding in the 25-150 guest range. This venue has several hotel options within walking distance and is only a 9-minute drive from the airport.

4. Cypress Grove

Cypress Grove creates the ideal venue for a weekend getaway wedding. They have indoor and outdoor ceremony space options, a bridal/honeymoon cottage, a Prairie Barn for groomsmen, and a bed & breakfast onsite.

You are able to check in on Friday and have use of all of these buildings until Sunday evening. They also allow you to bring in outside catering at no additional charge. 5. The Manor
