Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist

The Cathedral has served people of all faiths over the years, and it is also home to one of the largest pipe organs in Louisiana.
Acadian Cultural Center
The Acadian Cultural Center explores and celebrates the local Cajun culture through exhibits, music, and drama. Visitors will learn about the history of the area and the people who lived in it. There is a museum on-site that displays artifacts, photographs, and documents that trace the history of Cajun and Creole cultures.

Alexandre Mouton House
If you’re looking for a glimpse of life in Acadiana during the 1800s, look no further than the Alexandre Mouton House. This beautiful home was built by the first Democratic governor of Louisiana and is now a museum that contains many artifacts from an earlier time.
The museum is located at 1122 Lafayette Street and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., with tours being offered every hour on the hour.
