Looking for the best barbecue in Lafayette, LA to satisfy your craving for some delicious smoked meat? We’ve compiled a list of our favorite spots that we know you’ll love!

2-Paul’s Radically Urban BBQ

Set aside the cutlery, and your inhibitions too. Don’t be afraid to tuck your napkin into your collar like a bib. No one will judge you at 2-Paul’s Radically Urban BBQ. They know how delicious their food is, and its effect on customers. This restaurant uses pecan wood to smoke its award-winning ribs. The result? Sweet-tasting meat that is only enhanced with their mouthwatering, homemade bbq sauce. Let your primal instincts take over as you devour this culinary masterpiece.

A & B Henderson’s BBQ

If authentic BBQ is what you crave, look no further than A & B Henderson’s BBQ. The pork loin stuffed with sausage is a meat dish fit for the gods. The loin and sausage are seasoned and smoked to perfection, and dissolve in your mouth as your tastebuds rejoice after every bite. Do you like ribs? You’re in luck. This place does ‘em perfectly. Fall of the bone meat, slathered in a rich smokey house sauce.

LIL DADDY’S BAR-B-Q

We always want to be careful when writing about what a BBQ restaurant offers so we don’t raise false hopes and disappoint our readers. With that in mind, we would describe the BBQ dishes offered at Lil Daddy’s Bar-B-Q as “life-changing”, in the best sense of the phrase. How they manage to get the sliced brisket so tender and juicy is a mystery we don’t want the answer to. We’re just happy knowing that we can order seconds.

BLANCHARD’S BBQ

This restaurant will have you tapping out over a flavor overload. The pulled pork is mindblowing and the handmade sausage is incredibly delicious with a crispy skin that provides that ideal texture when taking that first bite. Needless to say, Blanchards has mastered Southern style with every dish they serve whether it’s a succulent meat dish or one of their many incredible sides. We highly recommend ordering the Poutine Dream, which is made from hand-cut fries, locally-sourced (melted) cheese, and homemade gravy.

Johnson’s Boucaniere

As you approach Johnson’s Boucaniere from the outside, you get the sense from its simple wood-framed, cottage-like appearance that there’s some good cookin’ happening inside. As you get closer and the aroma reaches your nostrils, your suspicions are pleasantly confirmed. A pleasure that is only outdone by your taste buds when you bite into any one of their meticulously cooked meat dishes and sides.

Dwight’s Restaurant

A little known secret about this cajun food restaurant is their incredible Sunday BBQ feast. Dwight’s smokes up some of the tastiest brisket and sausage we’ve ever tried and is well worth a trip on a Sunday afternoon.
