Service Cadillac - 2023 Cadillac Escalade
The Cadillac Escalade is an upscale full-size SUV that comes equipped with lots of features and equipment in a luxury cabin. For the 2023 model year, the Escalade gains a new V-Series model with a supercharged engine and a blacked-out exterior. This new trim will also feature performance brakes, all-wheel drive, and have a retuned suspension. Here is a look at the complete 2023 Cadillac Escalade lineup.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Escalade Luxury comes with 22-inch wheels, a hands-free liftgate, LED headlights, LED taillights, and power-folding and heated side mirrors. The Premium Luxury adds to this with a panoramic sunroof and 22-inch polished wheels, while the Sport adds additional black exterior trim elements, a gloss black grille, and 22-inch dark alloy wheels. Step up to the Platinum for an adaptive air suspension or to the Sport Platinum for the same features as the Premium Luxury. The new V has Brembo high-performance brakes and a performance-tuned adaptive air suspension.
Engine (Power)
All Escalades except the V get power from a 6.2-liter V-8 gas engine that puts out 420 horsepower. These come with rear-wheel drive and offer all-wheel drive as an option. A 3.0-liter turbo six-cylinder is optional for most trims and delivers 277 horsepower. The new V has a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 with 682 horsepower. It uses a specialized all-wheel drive system, and every model has a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The Escalade's independent rear suspension contributes to this SUV's smooth ride, and the base engine has plenty of power for this large vehicle. The new V model will satisfy any driver's need for extra power and speed. The supercharged V-8 will propel the Escalade to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. When equipped with the tow package, the Escalade can pull up to 7,700 pounds.
Interior
There's room for eight in the Escalade's cabin, and it comes filled with upscale features. Even the base has heated front and second-row seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, and simulated leather upholstery. The Premium Luxury upgrades to leather upholstery and adds ventilation to the front seats. Massaging front seats come in the Premium Luxury Platinum, which also has soft-closing doors and a leather-wrapped instrument panel.
Technology in the Escalade starts with a massive 16.9-inch infotainment screen and a 14.2-inch digital gauge cluster. It works with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and comes with wireless charging and a 19-speaker AKG Studio stereo system. You'll get a 36-speaker AKG stereo system with Bluetooth speakers in the Premium Luxury Platinum, and this trim also adds a rear entertainment system.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Cadillac Escalade has a full suite of safety systems and driver aids. These include a forward collision warning system with automatic braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and front and rear parking sensors. The Premium Luxury adds adaptive cruise control, an automated parking system, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic braking. Cadillac offers Super Cruise hands-free driving technology as an option for the Escalade. This allows drivers to let the SUV take over the driving on certain highways across the United States.
