Since its debut in 2018, the Cadillac XT4 has been turning heads with its high-end finishes, powerful engine, and family-friendly features. Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2021 XT4 is available in three trim packages: the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. All trims feature LED headlights and taillights, daytime running lights, heated power mirrors, a dual-outlet exhaust, acoustic laminated front glass, tinted rear glass, a power liftgate, and a rear intermittent wiper. The Premium Luxury and Sport trims also have roof rails, mirrors with integrated turn signals, and rain-sensing wipers. The Sport trim includes red-painted brake calipers. A power sunroof is available on all models.
The XT4 is available in a wide array of modern exterior paint colors. Paint options include Radiant Silver, Wave Metallic, Garnet, Twilight Blue, Stellar Black, Shadow, Autumn, Infrared, and Crystal White.
Engine (Power)
The XT4's standard engine is a 237 horsepower Turbo I-4 paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Every engine is equipped with automatic stop/start technology to improve fuel efficiency. All trims are front-wheel drive with an all-wheel-drive option. The front-wheel-drive models have three drive modes, including tour, snow/ice, and sport. The all-wheel-drive models have four drive modes, including tour, off-road, AWD, and sport.
Performance
Every trim package features cruise control, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, electronic stability control, traction control, and hill start assist. The Cadillac's MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension provide a smooth ride, no matter the road conditions.
The XT4 is highly fuel-efficient. Front-wheel-drive models boast an EPA-rated fuel efficiency of 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. All-wheel-drive models are rated slightly lower, at 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.
Interior
The well-appointed XT4 can comfortably carry five passengers. Interior features include active noise cancellation, a cabin air filter, cargo tie-downs, carpeted floor mats, a humidity sensor, keyless open, cargo-area lighting, paddle shifters, power windows, and USB ports. The controls for the audio, phone, cruise control, and driver information center are placed conveniently on the steering wheel. The standard upholstery is vegan leather, with available leather.
With all seats occupied, the XT4 provides 22.5 cubic feet of cargo space. The rear seat is a 60/40 split-folding bench. With the second row folded flat, cargo space increases to 48.9 cubic feet.
Infotainment amenities include satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, a seven-speaker audio system, an eight-inch touch-screen display, and Cadillac user experience. Owners with children will enjoy the available rear-seat infotainment system with a DVD player. This system includes two screens with multiple inputs, wireless connectivity, a remote control, and two sets of wireless headphones. Cadillac's companion app allows parents in the front seat to control the system. Other optional features include a head-up display, Bose Centerpoint audio system, and navigation.
Safety Features
Standard safety features include a suite of advanced air bags, rear child safety locks, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and an HD rearview camera. Available safety features include a following distance indicator, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, rear pedestrian alert, reverse automatic braking, and a surround vision camera
